Lavaux and its terroirs

THE SPECIFICITIES OF LAVAUX WINE

The different terroirs and microclimates of the vineyard allow an interesting and surprising variation of flavours of the wines of this Vaud vineyard. At the edge of the lake, the vines are filled with the 3 regional suns: that of the sky, that of the lake thanks to the reverberation and that stored in the walls forming the thousands of terraces of Lavaux. The king grape variety of the region is Chasselas, a wine rich in fruity and dry aromas.

THE APPELLATIONS

There are three appellations in Lavaux: Lavaux AOC, Calamin AOC and Dézaley AOC. The appellation Lavaux AOC is divided into 8 production sites.

Calamin Grand Cru Appellation

The wines of Epesses are robust, with a strong personality that asserts itself with fruity and spicy aromas reminiscent of pineapple, pepper or black truffle.

Dézaley Grand Cru Appellation

Dézaley is the flagship appellation of Lavaux. It is the only one, with Calamin, to be classified as a Grand Cru. Covered with 90% Chasselas, its terraces with their exceptional exposure give the wine a remarkable fullness and persistence of aroma.
