Data protection and privacy

This data protection statement concerns only the use of data collected by the Lavaux World Heritage Association when visiting the website

When a user visits the Lavaux World Heritage website, data from the log files on his or her computer (e. g. IP address, date and time of access, name of the file consulted, history of clicked links) are automatically collected and analysed for statistical purposes. External website analysis services also study user behaviour.

Depending on the application used, cookies may be stored on the user's computer: they will be reused when the user visits the website the next time, in order to facilitate access to it or to allow the use of certain functions of the application. In the event that the user does not want such data to be stored, he or she can block access by configuring his or her browser accordingly or simply delete the stored cookie. When it is necessary to enter personal data in order to be able to take advantage of an offer on the Lavaux World Heritage website, the user is informed of the additional conditions of use before sending the personal data. Depending on the offer, these conditions may vary with regard to the purpose of collection, volume, transmission and storage of such data.

The Association cannot guarantee that the websites it operates are accessible at all times and declines any responsibility in the event of errors during the exchange of data.

It may happen that some of the links on the Lavaux World Heritage site provide access to third party websites that are not operated or managed by the association, the company cannot be held responsible for their content and accept no responsibility for them.

The most modern technological means are used to protect the data against unauthorized access or processing. Sensitive or personal data are transmitted in encrypted form. However, Lavaux World Heritage declines all responsibility for the security of data transmitted over the Internet.
