Photographic excursion in Lavaux
Click! Click! Turn yourself into a photojournalist in an idyllic setting thanks to this day of discovery at the Swiss Camera Museum and in the heart of the terraced vineyards of Lavaux.
The school outing starts off with a visit to the Swiss Camera Museum, then a photographer will introduce the participants to the basic techniques used both with a high performance camera and a simple mobile phone. During your visit, we will take a photograph of your class inside the Museum and we will forward you the file by email.
After some free time for a midday picnic (in the museum gardens or beside Lake Vevey), you will take the train to Saint-Saphorin where a Guide from Lavaux Heritage will welcome you. He will reveal to you the secrets which led this unique landscape to being listed as a UNESCO World heritage site and will help you to discover the charm of one of the most beautiful Swiss villages. With your cameras, you will be able to set to work capturing the moment in this magnificent setting.
Options:
-
Divide the excursion into two parts (two half days of museum and Lavaux)
-
Go to St-Saphorin several times to observe and photograph the evolution of the vineyard over the seasons
-
Organise the visit between October and March and perhaps have the chance to observe pigs and/or sheep in the vineyards
Competition "Lavaux, signs of life in photos":
Participate with your class in our photo contest!
